Rolls House London – March 2011

Magicman has been assisting in the completion of the prestigious Carillion project at Rolls House, London. Particular skills and specialist equipment were required on this project, as well as the fact that the works had to be carried out at night, meaning that only Magicman could meet their requirements. Up to twenty men per night were involved in the rectification of door surfaces. The administration and logistics of labour supply from around the country presented a particular challenge. However, we are pleased to say, that we met the targets, on time and on budget and without inconvenience to our other clients and partners.

Investors In People- March 2011

Magicman has retained its prestigious Investor In People qualification after our 5 yearly audit. This is the third audit in succession that Magicman has successfully completed, and we are pleased to be part of the Improving Business Performance initiative. This continuing certification helps cement the ongoing relationship between all members of the Magicman nationwide team.

Olympic Village – February 2011

Magicman has been selected to undertake various remedial activities for two contractors, working on a continual basis, at the London 2012 Olympic site. Once again this demonstrates the level of administrative and technical excellence within the company, as well as the flexibility to win contracts at the highest level. We remain the contractor of choice for the most prestigious projects.

New vehicle fleet – January 2011

Magicman continues the ‘roll out’ of our new livery on all our new vehicles. Magicman has secured a very attractive deal with VW to use the Transporter for the next 3 years and the first 13 have been delivered. The continued replacement of older vehicles will continue through this year and next as well as procurement for new staff. These vehicles give a fresh new look to the fleet around the country and an improved driving and comfort experience for our staff.

New Offices & Apprentice Training Centre opened – July 2010

Magicman opened its refurbished and new offices and Apprentice Training Facility in Brighton this month after an 8 month refit.

“We can now settle into our much improved environment which will benefit both Magicman staff and our customers” said Magicman’s Managing Director Mark Henderson.

The introduction of a multi-skill training apprentice facility with plans to develop a two year recognised Apprentice Training scheme are a significant step forward in Magicman’s recognition of both the value of its staff and the need for investment in processes and skills.
