Magicman wins 'Sustainable Product of the Year' award

When so many companies are struggling to stay afloat, Monday night’s Cruise Ship Interiors Awards ceremony was a welcome excuse to celebrate an industry hard hit by Covid-19. It was especially joyous for Magicman who were recognised for their international work, providing sustainable repairs onboard luxury vessels around the world.

The first ever international CSI Awards were due to take place in Miami but had to adapt after coronavirus travel restrictions were imposed. Instead the event was broadcast live on YouTube. Finalists in 18 categories were shortlisted by the CSI Awards’ judging panel and the winners decided by a public vote.

After Magicman were awarded Sustainable Product of the Year, CEO of the Magicman Group Mark Henderson said:

“My thanks to the people who voted for Magicman, the industry that has embraced us and most of all to our marvellous technicians who have over the years consistently delivered a professional service to our clients. A tough category with excellent products. We are overwhelmed to be included with such esteemed company.”

Mr. Henderson was a pioneer in the sustainable on-site repair sector nearly 30 years ago when he began his one-man bath repair business. He developed many of the restoration techniques passed on today through its Magicman Training Academy in Brighton.

Magicman is an international repair and restoration business headquartered in Brighton with over 100 staff nationwide servicing the UK domestic, construction and insurance sectors as well as onboard refurbs of cruise ships interiors worldwide. Magicman offers customers the opportunity to engage in sustainable in-situ repairs of items that would otherwise go to landfill, reducing the greenhouse gases produced in the manufacture and distribution of replacement items.
