We are happy to announce that this week we received our Living Wage Employer accreditation. So it’s official, Magicman joins over 12,000 ethical companies who want to treat their employees as fairly as possible.

Magicman CEO Mark Henderson pictured above with the Living Wage Employer plaque said:

“We have been an Investor In People since 2005 and paying staff a fair wage is in line with our ethical values as a company.”

Magicman recognises that the legal minimum wage is not sustainable for employees and voluntarily commits to paying not only the Living Wage of £7.85 an hour but as London’s favourite repair company we pay at least the London Living Wage which starts at £9.15 an hour.

“Paying the London Living Wage is not only morally right, but makes good business sense too.”

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London

Evidence proves that the Living Wage leads to higher quality work, higher staff retention and lower absenteeism. Not only is it good for business, but it’s also good for society by allowing people to spend more time with their families instead of working multiple jobs just to get by.
